If you are looking for a team that brings out the best in each other, has fun, and is proud of their work - we want to hear from you. The Four Points by Sheraton - Kelowna Airport is currently seeking a talented Bartender.

We are conveniently located on a bus route with a stop just outside the hotel. Additionally, our complimentary shuttle service picks up employees from the bus loop at UBCO.

What will you be doing?

• Create a positive guest experience through interaction and adherence to the steps of service
• Be knowledgeable of all food and beverage items to make recommendations
• Answer questions about food, beverages, wine, and other restaurant services
• Ensure accuracy when entering information into the POS system
• Utilize seat-specific ordering to ensure correct delivery of food and beverages
• Ensure guest satisfaction with food, beverages, and service
• Promptly receive drink orders and pour beverages according to Gulfstream and Four Points standards
• Ensure accuracy when preparing beverage orders
• Present beverages clearly and organized at the service bar pickup area
• Communicate beverage descriptions, specials, and information to guests and team members
• Set up and dismantle the bar area and dishwasher, maintaining cleanliness
• Stock and maintain all bar supplies
• Monitor beer keg and liquor levels
• Count and inventory beverages and supplies; assist in inventory ordering
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area
• Receive beverage deliveries and check for quality and accuracy
• Wash, polish, and display glasses attractively
• Follow all food and beverage safety standards and procedures
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

What are we looking for?

• Serving it Right Certification
• Previous experience as a bartender and/or server in a similar environment
• Knowledge of wine, beer, and cocktails
• Passion for food, beverages, and exceptional customer service
• Ability to multi-task effectively
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift/move kegs, bottles, and boxes
