Job summary

A local staffing agency based in Kitchener is seeking experienced Smart Serve Certified Banquet Servers for an event on December 13th, 2025. Candidates should be friendly, reliable, and capable of managing food and beverage service with confidence. Responsibilities include tray carrying, table clearing, and assisting with event logistics. Ideal candidates must hold a Smart Serve Certification, be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and work for long periods. Casual shifts with potential for more in the future.

Qualifications

• Proof of Smart Serve Certification is required.

Job description

On behalf of our clients located in Kitchener, Grand River Personnel is looking for experienced Smart Serve Certified Banquet Servers!

We are looking for friendly, confident, and reliable people to assist with serving guests at an event to be held on Saturday December 13th, 2025.

Servers will be responsible for representing the client and ensuring the guests are well taken care of.

Pay rate: $21.70 per hour

Shift: Saturday December 13, 2025, 5:00pm – 1:00am (or until the work is finished)

*This shift has the potential for more shifts in the future.

Responsibilities:

• Carrying trays of food (8 plates).
• Carrying trays of beverages.
• Assisting with set-up and take-down.
• Clearing tables and ensuring all guests have what is needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Proof of Smart Serve Certification is required.
• Experience carrying a tray is required.
• Some lifting will be required (up to 50 lbs).
• Closed toed, flat, non-slip black shoes.
• Black dress pants, black shirt, black socks.
• Must be capable of standing for long periods of time (8+ hours).
• Must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
