This Position reports to: Production Manager

Are you ready to lead in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? As an Associate Production Supervisor, you will work closely with the Senior Production Supervisor to oversee the assembly of Reliagear Panelboards. Your mission: ensure production schedules are met while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

About the Role

You will organize and prepare the production team and area to meet operational goals, drive continuous improvement, and act as the key communication link between management and production employees. This role is critical for fostering collaboration, problem-solving, and employee development.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & People Development
  • Lead and motivate a team of unionized employees.
  • Coach and train team leaders and employees to enhance skills and performance.
  • Collaborate with HR on staffing, onboarding, and employee development.
Production Planning & Execution
  • Allocate resources and manage capacity planning to meet deadlines.
  • Monitor operational readiness and address deviations quickly.
  • Partner with planning and production teams to optimize workflow.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identify gaps and implement standardized processes.
  • Drive initiatives that promote efficiency and a culture of improvement.
Health, Safety & Environment
  • Champion a safe and healthy workplace aligned with company standards.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership in safety practices and compliance.
Equipment & Facilities
  • Recommend upgrades and improvements to tools and equipment.
  • Oversee calibrations, inspections, and tool management.
Qualification
  • Technical degree in electro-mechanics, electrical engineering, power electronics, or equivalent experience OR University degree in industrial engineering or related field
  • 5-7 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience managing unionized personnel
  • Must be bilingual (French and English). French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent planning, organization, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP knowledge is an asset
  • Continuous improvement mindset (Lean Six Sigma is an asset)
  • Flexible and available (potential evening shift)
