OVERVIEW

We are seeking a passionate and strategic Omni Associate Manager to join our BX & Omni team, shaping how General Mills Canada connects with consumers and customers in-store and online. The Omni team plays a critical role in driving competitiveness at our key retailers by translating brand and retailer priorities into customer‑centric, omni‑channel programs. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, creative program development, and strong analytical and execution skills.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Customer Marketing & Omni Activation
  • Collaborate with Brand and Sales teams to translate brand strategies and consumer insights into actionable, customer‑specific marketing plans, with a focus on omnichannel integration.
  • Develop and present customer marketing strategies and ideas to internal stakeholders, building enthusiasm and securing alignment.
  • Identify and prioritize customer and brand opportunities based on commercial viability, strategic alignment, and potential return on investment (ROI).
  • Manage the execution of customer marketing programs from initial concept through activation, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and strategic objectives.
  • Provide clear direction and feedback to agency partners to develop effective shopper marketing programs that enhance brand equity and drive sales growth.
  • Lead cross‑functional teams (internal and external) to ensure seamless execution of marketing programs.
  • Ensure brand presence is optimized on retailers’ digital platforms, including product detail pages (PDPs) and search strategies.
  • Track and implement emerging capabilities within retailer media platforms, digital, social, in‑store, point‑of‑sale (POS), on‑pack, and experiential channels.
  • Relationship Management & Influence
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at assigned retail customers to understand their priorities, strategies, and needs.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for customer marketing initiatives, fostering collaboration and open communication.
  • Represent General Mills Canada as a knowledgeable and valuable partner in developing effective retail marketing programs.
  • Performance Analysis & Budget Management
  • Track and monitor program performance, providing regular updates on key metrics and progress against goals.
  • Conduct post-program analysis to evaluate effectiveness, identify key learnings, and recommend optimizations for future initiatives.
  • Manage assigned customer marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to spending guidelines.
  • Monitor and communicate spending against plan, proactively identifying and addressing any variances.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2‑4 years of work experience, ideally with a background in CPG Omni/Customer Marketing or Retailer (Customer Side) Marketing or Sales.
  • Solid understanding of omnichannel marketing and the consumer‑packaged goods industry.
  • Bilingual (French) an asset.
