Job description

Assistant Professor (tenure-track, teaching stream) - Educational Psychology

The Department of Educational Psychology & Special Education at the University of Saskatchewan invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level, starting January 1, 2026 (negotiable). This role focuses on teacher education in Educational Psychology and Special Education. It is a 'Teaching Stream' position, primarily centered on instruction, including teaching courses, supervising graduate students, clinical instruction, and service activities. The position may also involve outreach and engagement, with limited research responsibilities. It is a tenure-track role with potential for promotion to full professor.

Qualifications and Responsibilities
  • Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in educational psychology, assessments, special education, inclusive education, and research methods such as statistics.
  • Completed or near completion Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, Special Education, or related fields.
  • Strong research methods training and pedagogical skills to communicate complex methods effectively.
  • Supervision of graduate students using various research methodologies.

All faculty members are expected to teach, supervise, participate in administrative duties, serve on committees, and engage in public service, including practicum supervision.
