Effective July 1, 2026, the Department of Paediatrics, Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto and the Department of Critical Care Medicine at The Hospital for Sick Children, 555 University Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, an academic health science centre dedicated exclusively to children, affiliated with the University of Toronto, is recruiting a full-time permanent staff intensivist. The successful candidate will be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the University of Toronto at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.
Dedicated exclusively to children and their families, SickKids is a world-renowned, state-of-the-art paediatric health care facility affiliated with the University of Toronto. The hospital is committed to ongoing learning and development and features a caring and supportive work environment. The Division of Pediatric Intensive Care is currently comprised of 12 Physicians and is responsible for the comprehensive care for all patients admitted to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, including mechanical support of the circulation.
Rank and salary ($266,000-$380,000) per annum (at time of writing); for 35 hours per week plus on-call responsibilities, will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Periodic billing overage distributions may be received over and above base salary. Support for relocation expenses will be offered.
