About the Role

Join our MIR team as a Senior AS400 / iSeries Developer, where you will serve as a subject matter expert in AS400 development and play a central part in overseeing and advancing our AS400-based applications. Your role will span management, development, security, and ongoing support of our AS400 systems. You will work in close partnership with other departments to align technical solutions with business requirements and help streamline operations. Your specialized knowledge in the AS400 / iSeries environment will directly contribute to the ongoing success and modernization of our organization.

Your Job Responsibilities

• Partner with product teams to transform customer requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver business outcomes rapidly through technical innovation and teamwork.
• Proactively challenge established practices and identify software bugs or system inefficiencies.
• Continuously seek out opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.

Prerequisites

• At least 7 years of hands-on AS400 development experience.
• Solid capabilities in one or more of the following: RPG / LE, COBOL / 400, SQL, Query / 400, QM Query, ASC Sequel, CLP / CLLE, MQ, Data queues, JIRA, ServiceNow, SFTP, IFS, DB2 / 400, TAATOOL, RDI, and Arcad.
• Familiarity executing projects using Waterfall, Agile, or Scrum methodologies, and practical experience using Jira.
• Demonstrated independent problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
• Experience with problem analysis, data mapping, documenting use cases, and preparing technical documentation.
