The Role

Cameco has an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to join a highly engaged and skilled department in support of the corporation’s treasury function. Working within a group of professionals, you will undertake various types of analytical and compliance activities, collaborate with stakeholders and external advisors, and contribute to the dynamic corporate finance and treasury team.

In this role, you will:
  • Compile, analyze, and report on daily cash activities to support liquidity management and ensure financial obligations are met, including the effective use of risk‑management financial instruments.
  • Support financial risk management in the development and implementation of investment strategies, foreign‑exchange hedging and interest‑rate management planning in alignment with our business environment and financial market conditions.
  • Collaborate with our banking partners to secure and manage financial assurances required to support ongoing operations.
  • Partner with various departments and provide treasury and corporate finance expertise.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning, forecasting and budgeting of the corporation.
  • Support ongoing continuous‑improvement initiatives and projects, including proactively identifying and developing efficient, value‑added processes.
Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce, accounting, finance or a related field.
  • Three to five years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Recommended
  • Ability to prioritize assignments, manage multiple deadlines and organize work independently.
  • Experience using ERP software (SAP).
  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Results‑oriented, proactive, with a mindset of continuous improvement.
