Job description
About Deck

Deck is building the data infrastructure for the internet. We make scattered, login-protected data instantly accessible through clean APIs and integrations—empowering businesses to act fast and smart, with no friction.

We’re a team of builders from top-tier tech companies who believe one thing: great ideas need great data. If you thrive in early-stage chaos, own your work like a founder, and think in frameworks—not features—Deck might be your next home.

As an AI Ops Assistant (AOA), you’ll play a crucial role in making sure our automation systems never let clients down. You’ll work at the edge of what the tech can currently do—bridging gaps, validating data, escalating bugs, and ensuring client success.

This is a role for someone who thrives on autonomy, takes initiative without waiting to be told, and wants to be part of a gritty, high-performance crew that gets things done. You’ll be directly supporting our data reliability, our clients’ trust, and our team’s ability to scale.

What You’ll Do
  • Ensure Client Success Step in when automation hits a blocker—ensure timely, accurate delivery of utility billing data that our clients rely on.

  • Bridge Automation Gaps Verify, escal, and resolve issues where automated systems fall short. Spot patterns and help improve long-term system performance.

  • Execute Daily Ops Triage tasks from our internal dashboards and Slack workflows. Upload verified data, track status updates, and resolve connection issues quickly and cleanly.

  • Communicate & Escalate Smartly Use judgment to flag bugs, update teammates, and drive resolution without friction. Stay clear, concise, and focused.

  • Work Cross-Functionally Partner with support, engineering, and product when needed. Your work touches nearly every function at Deck.

Compensation: 50K / Year

Deck isn’t just a product—it’s a mission. We believe that businesses should spend more time thinking and building, and less time wrestling with data plumbing. If that vision excites you, and you’re energized by early-stage speed, ambiguity, and intensity—let’s talk.

Before applying, take a look at our Constitution. If you don't dislike it, there's a good chance you’ll love working here.
