A regional educational board in Southwestern Ontario seeks Before and After School Support employees to work with early childhood educators. Candidates should have a high school diploma and experience with child supervision. Responsibilities include fostering positive interactions among children and ensuring their safety and well-being. The position requires valid First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it.
Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) serves approximately 65,000 students in 123 schools, as well as alternative and continuing education sites. WRDSB is currently seeking applications for Before and After School Support (B.A.S.S.) employees to work alongside a Designated Early Childhood Educator (DECE) to support play-based programming for students in junior kindergarten to grade 6 who are registered in WRDSB’s Before and After school program to provide general student supervision.
The Successful Candidate will be required to provide a satisfactory Criminal Background Check including the Vulnerable Sector, which must be received in Human Resources prior to commencement of employment. The Board does not assume costs associated with the Criminal Reference Check. A Social Insurance Number (SIN), date of birth, and proof of educational qualifications will be required at the time of an offer of employment.
