About the Role
As an Advisor, I.T. Procurement, you will play a strategic role in PSP’s procurement operations, leading initiatives that support the acquisition of goods and services across diverse business lines. You will act as a trusted partner to internal stakeholders, ensuring procurement activities align with PSP’s strategic objectives and deliver optimal value.
Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation, negotiation, and finalization of complex contractual agreements with suppliers, ensuring alignment with PSP’s strategic objectives and stakeholder needs
- Oversee the lifecycle of procurement contracts across multiple categories, contributing to the transformation of the Procurement function by shaping emerging processes and tools
- Ensure rigorous compliance with PSP’s acquisition procedures, internal controls, and confidentiality agreements, and proactively identify areas for improvement
- Strategically coordinate the RFP process, define negotiation strategies, and provide expert input in the drafting and structuring of agreements
- Serve as the primary advisor to internal clients, guiding them through the submission process and helping evaluate procurement options that best meet business needs
- Act as the central point of contact for all communications between PSP and external bidders / suppliers, ensuring clarity, consistency, and professionalism
- Oversee all operational aspects of procurement submissions, delegating administrative tasks where appropriate while ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Develop and implement commercial strategies that enhance the value and efficiency of PSP’s contractual agreements
- Monitor and manage contract timelines, proactively planning renewals or exit strategies, and ensuring all decisions and communications are properly documented in relevant systems
- Lead negotiations for strategic agreements, balancing compliance with PSP policies and responsiveness to internal client requirements
- Provide expert guidance to internal clients across procurement categories, advising on best practices and supporting needs assessments in collaboration with Legal and other support functions
- Drive the alignment and continuous improvement of procurement tools and processes to enhance quality, efficiency, and stakeholder satisfaction
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (including Supply Chain Management), Engineering, Law or Information Technology
- Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in a procurement and vendor management role
- Experience with IT contracts is essential
- Ability to stay abreast of IT trends and demonstrate a thorough understanding of the serviced business lines
- Knowledge of purchasing processes and the preparation and review of contracts and tenders
- Accountability and orientation toward results and continuous improvement in a context of transformation
- Bilingualism: English and French (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in offices abroad, and interactions in French with employees in local offices)
