Overview

Our firm is seeking a well-organized, proactive, and highly motivated individual to join our Administrative department full time. We are looking for a team player with strong organizational, multitasking, and oral and written communication skills, as well as exceptional attention to detail.


Responsibilities


  • Draft, edit, format, and / or finalize financial statements, correspondence, and other documents.

  • File corporate, non-profit, charity, personal, trust, and other information returns with the Canada Revenue Agency, both by paper and online.

  • Co-ordinate personal tax intakes, assembly of returns, and distribution to clients for signing.

  • Manage client files (i.e. filing, batch printing, and archiving client information).

  • Plan meetings, manage, and co-ordinate electronic calendars for staff members.

  • Help manage the reception and meeting areas.

  • Create training schedules, draft outlines, and train new administrative staff.

  • Keep training instructions and manuals up to date.

  • Develop innovative and efficient procedures to streamline processes.

  • Provide assistance to receptionist (i.e. answer phones and assist clients as necessary).

  • Provide assistance to the client excellence coordinator (i.e. sorting client documents and scanning to client files).

  • Pick up, open, and distribute mail.

  • Assist with invoicing of clients and taking payments.

  • Provide administrative support to the various partners and professionals of our firm.

  • Various other tasks required of an assistant in an accounting firm.


Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, strong computer skills, a willingness to work alone with set goals and deadlines, and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment is a must.


Onsite Training

Onsite training will be provided.
