A community college in Ontario is seeking qualified individuals for adjunct teaching positions in Political Science courses. The ideal candidates will hold a Master’s degree and have teaching experience or relevant business experience. Duties include teaching both on-campus and potentially online, developing course content, and providing a statement of teaching philosophy. Manchester Community College is seeking qualified individuals who are interested in adjunct teaching at the College on a course‑by‑course basis; strong academic background is required.
Education: Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a major study in Social Science with a specialty in Political Science. Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Education shall require an Associate’s degree in a subject area closely related to Political Science.
Experience: Two years of teaching experience in Political Science or three years of business or industry experience directly related to the field of Political Science.
Adjunct appointments are temporary, for a specified contract period and may require in‑classroom or online instruction.
Adjunct Instructor $825 per contact hour
Adjunct Lecturer – $900 per contact hour
Adjunct Senior Lecturer – $975 per contact hour
The Vice President of Academic Affairs will assign the adjunct faculty rank based on education and industry and/or teaching experience.
