The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Accounting Technician to support our growing finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to contribute to various accounting and administrative functions while developing their skills in a collaborative and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing accounts payable, including processing vendor invoices and reconciliation of vendor accounts for a large group of companies
• Assist in managing accounts receivable, including timely invoicing and collections
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Assisting the finance team with in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual audit processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards
• Collaborate on special projects and provide financial data to support key initiatives
• Assisting in reconciliations of GL accounts and subledgers
• Perform other related tasks as required to support the finance department's operations

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, receivable, or general accounting administration
• Proficiency in accounting software (experience with Xero would be an asset)
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in finance, accounting, or a related field
• Proficiency in Excel and strong analytical skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
