Job description

Job Responsibilities:

1. Review and process weekly payroll, Union Dues / RRSP, post Payroll GL, and handle annual T4 / T4(A) processing.
2. Oversee Accounts Payable to process invoices and payments for weekly cheque runs.
3. Oversee Accounts Receivable to process invoices and ensure payments are collected within customers' terms.
4. Ensure compliance with government remittances, including payroll taxes, EHT, WSIB, HST, and other statutory filings.
5. Perform monthly reconciliation of all general ledger accounts to ensure financial accuracy, correct errors, and resolve or escalate issues.
6. Collaborate with owners to review and analyze monthly financial reports.
7. Prepare backup schedules and supporting documents for corporate interim and year-end financial statements.
8. Manage daily accounting staff duties, providing training and support.
9. Handle special projects as requested by senior management.
10. Process ad-hoc payments as required.

Qualifications:

• Accounting Degree / Diploma / Certificate and Accounting Designation.
• Background in manufacturing / injection molding is an asset.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience.
