INNOCEAN Canada is seeking an exceptional Account Director (12-month contract) to join our automotive Client Services team in our Toronto office. If you're ready to level up and be part of a leading global full-service agency focused on insightful work, this could be your next challenge.

What Your Typical Day Will Look Like
  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for senior-level clients, managing overall relationships and ensuring that client needs are met.
  • Client Retention & Growth: Develop strategies to deepen client relationships, identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling services, and ensure ongoing business with key accounts.
  • Problem Resolution: Address any issues that arise between the client and the agency, working to resolve conflicts and maintain client satisfaction.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor an Account Executive, ensuring that they and the cross-functional team are motivated and clear on their objectives.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with creative, media, strategy, and production teams to ensure that the work aligns with client expectations and budgets.
  • Strategic Oversight: Work with the strategy and creative teams to define campaign strategies that align with client objectives and brand goals.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the deliverables meet both client expectations, brand guidelines and agency standards before presentation or launch.
  • Budget Oversight: Ensure all accounts stay within budget and that financial forecasts are accurate. Address any discrepancies or concerns proactively.
  • Revenue Growth: Identify opportunities for revenue expansion within existing accounts by proposing new services or campaigns that drive client success.
  • Client Reporting: Prepare regular reports and presentations for clients, highlighting campaign performance, ROI, and any actionable insights.
  • Agency Reporting: Provide internal reports to senior management on the status of accounts, financial health, and any potential risks or opportunities.
  • Creative Briefing: Work with the strategy and creative teams to ensure they have a clear understanding of the client\'s goals and vision for the campaign.
  • Creative Review: Review and approve creative concepts to ensure they meet both client expectations and brand guidelines.
  • Problem-Solving: Handle any client concerns, conflicts, or crises that may arise, providing solutions and ensuring that client relationships remain strong.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate any risks that could jeopardize the success of the campaign or client relationship.
What You Bring
  • 6 to 8 years’ experience in a client service role in an agency, including 1–3 years in a supervisory role
  • Experience with online video, email marketing, in-store POS, digital and social
  • Post-secondary education in marketing / advertising is an asset
  • Auto account services category experience is an asset
