Overview

Athabasca University's Learning Services Tutorial Department is seeking a Permanent Academic Expert Marker for the following course:

PPRC 451 – The Regulatory Environment

Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum of a Master's degree required (PhD preferred) in Architecture or Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • Teaching experience at a post-secondary level is required.
  • Experience in distance learning and familiarity with digital teaching technologies and online course delivery is preferred.
  • Experience with adult education, Moodle and Brightspace online course delivery is considered an asset.
  • Along with relevant academic credentials, excellent communication, organizational, administration and online/computer skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide academic assistance to students and mark assignments; assign and record final grades.
  • Maintain a high academic standard and accurate student records; return students\' work promptly within the University\'s required service standards.
  • Own or have access to a computer and internet with the capability to communicate with the University and students and to run any applications required to perform tutorial support.
