Join Our Team as a Truck and Coach Technician (310T) – Multiple Locations in Ontario

Are you a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician/Mechanic looking for a stable, long-term career close to home? At Ledcor Highways, we’re committed to maintaining safe and reliable infrastructure across Ontario. Join a dedicated, safety-first team where your expertise in maintaining and repairing a variety of mobile equipment helps keep roads safe for everyone.

We are currently hiring for the following shop locations:

  • Thessalon
  • Sault Ste. Marie
  • Wawa

Rates & Premiums:

  • Base hourly rate: 43.75/hour
  • Mechanics will be paid a skilled trade premium of 5/hour in the following geographic locations in Ontario: Agawa, Wawa, Hornepayne, Chapleau, Hinkler, White River

Work Conditions:

  • Monday to Friday work week with 10-hour shifts
  • Travel to various field operations may be required
  • Benefits provided by CLAC (Health, Dental, RSP and Pension)

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repair of heavy construction and maintenance equipment such as plow and sanding trucks, loaders, and light support gear
  • Follow manufacturer and internal maintenance programs and inspection procedures
  • Engage and participate in Ledcor safety policies and procedures
  • Complete maintenance records and documentation as required

Qualifications:

  • Must have a 310T Truck and Coach ticket from a recognized provincial authority or be registered in an apprenticeship and close to completing
  • Previous experience working with heavy civil construction and/or highway paving and highway maintenance equipment (i.e. snowplows) would be an asset
  • 421A Heavy Equipment Technician ticket is an asset
  • A valid Driver's Licence and ability to provide a 3-year driver's abstract
  • Ability to understand and effectively carry out oral and written instructions which may be accompanied by sketches and diagrams
  • Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision
