Technical Salesman– Brasil M/F

Permanent position located in Curitiba-PR (Brazil)


Reporting to the Area Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring and developing the customer portfolio and guaranteeing that customer orders are carried out correctly.


Your missions:

  1. Monitoring and developing the customer portfolio:
    1. Analyzing markets to determine sales development opportunities:
    2. Performing market research to identify trends, monitoring competitors, the economic and political environment, prices, and health and regulatory watch.
    3. Prospecting and acquiring new customer accounts according to priorities defined within the sales policy framework:
    4. Identifying key representatives within the markets and sourcing new ones.
    5. Contacting key representatives within the markets (phoning, appointments with customers), identifying their needs, and presenting the product line.
    6. Faithfully representing the company's brand image and developing selling points jointly with the technical department.
    7. Identifying national/international events (trade shows, exhibitions, etc.) for the company and customers and attending these events to showcase the company.
  2. Monitoring the current portfolio:
    1. Going on business rounds to visit customers and prospective customers.
    2. Building customer loyalty by guaranteeing customer satisfaction (customer relations, monitoring correct implementation of contracts, processing complaints, etc.).
    3. Anticipating customers' needs and providing appropriate solutions.
    4. Proposing a development strategy, validating this with management, and implementing it.
    5. Establishing the characteristics of new products and adapting existing products.
    6. Monitoring application of sales contracts.
    7. Continually analyzing the competition and optimizing partnerships (suppliers, carriers, etc.) in conjunction with dedicated supporting departments.
  3. Negotiate:
    1. Negotiating and preparing sales contracts.
    2. Following the Sales and Operations Planning (SOP).
    3. Preserving margins.
    4. Negotiating prices and payment terms.
    5. Identifying sales negotiation opportunities.
    6. Anticipating problems that could adversely affect negotiations.
  4. Guaranteeing that customer orders are carried out correctly:
    1. Identifying logistical solutions that are adapted to customer requirements.
    2. Following orders (from the negotiation stage up to the receipt of payment).
    3. Handling disputes jointly with the quality department.
    4. Monitoring logistical costs.
    5. Proactively managing inventories (where applicable).
  5. Cash Flow/Payments:
    1. Identifying and processing payment risks within the market.
    2. Defining suitable payment terms according to customer issues.
    3. Verifying customers' solvency and payment insurance coverage.
    4. Monitoring Letters of Credit with the Cash Flow department and the customer (according to the country).
    5. Interfacing with credit management.
  6. Reports:
    1. Preparing sales reports on the business line/market.
    2. Preparing customer call or business round reports.
    3. Updating Customer Relationship Management (CRM).

Your profile:

  • Animal Nutrition, Zootechnician, Veterinarian or Agronomy.
  • Minimum 2 years of successful experience in sales of specialty animal feed ingredients.
  • You speak intermediate English.
  • Business and results-oriented.
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Open, team-oriented, and dynamic personality eager to travel and take up big challenges.
  • Excellent negotiating and communication skills.
  • Autonomy and cross-cultural mindset.
  • Responsible, open, and transparent.
  • Frequent business travel is required.
  • Availability to live in Curitiba.
