Overview
In this position, you will offer technical support to achieve commercial objectives with our customers by being a proactive business partner to Sales, Marketing, and Product Manager.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining and growing current business.
- Introducing innovations to the regional market.
- Build and maintain a trust-based relationship with key contacts at customers.
- Use this relationship to gain insights into customer needs and translate these needs into technical solutions and internal development projects.
- Focus on creating a WIN-WIN situation for Royal FrieslandCampina and our customers.
- Use the customer relationship management system (Salesforce) to monitor and track progress.
- Involvement in creating innovations that fit customer needs and landing those innovations: Participate in the End-to-End innovation process through continuous interactions with Marketing, PGM, Development Clusters, and New Product Development teams.
- Share your view on customer and market needs and provide input on project requirements.
- Support the development of Value Propositions for the region and roll out innovations to the market by training the sales team and presenting and discussing the innovation with customers from a technical perspective.
- Responsible for communication of regional insights and needs to broader FrieslandCampina Ingredients team.
- Challenge incoming leads and generate new leads with customers and prospects, have them converted into opportunities and eventually valuable innovations.
- Provides direct support for regional customers.
- Works closely and within the Technical, Regulatory and Commercial Frameworks with regional Application Technologis to provide optimal support for the customer request.
- Collaboration with regional Commercial teams, global FCI TSS and Application Group and broader R&D.
- Makes sure the regions' needs are included in the Application Roadmap.
- Responsible for collection of regional knowledge within area of own responsibility and its transfer to the global team.
Qualifications
- Sound technical background (MSc Food Technology or alike), and preferably technical knowhow on Adult and / or Early Life Nutrition and / or its ingredients (dairy proteins, hydrolysates, GOS, etc.).
- Enjoy fast-paced commercial environment, which requires proactive stakeholder management and relation building abilities (marketing, sales, supply chain, QA, development and customers).
- Prepare and contribute customer visits, by utilizing your expertise to provide input, advice on product specifications and value propositions.
- MSc in relevant discipline, preferable in Food Technology or related field with at least 3 years of working experience.
- Alternatively, be able to document ample experience in food technology and product development.
Requirements
- Graduation: Food Engineering, Nutrition, Agronomy or similar fields.
- Experience: minimum 10 years.
- Native / Fluent in English and Portuguese; Spanish: intermediate.
- Travel availability: 30% of the time.
