This fully remote role requires over 5 years of experience, expertise in Java (Spring Boot), API management, cloud platforms, and modern frontend technologies like React or Angular. Qualificações

• 5+ years of overall professional experience.
• Experience with API Development using Java (Spring Boot).
• 3 years of experience with API Management (Apigee / KrakenD / AWS Gateway).
• Understanding of API protocols and architectural patterns (REST, gRPC, GraphQL).
• Proficient with CI / CD, GitHub, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain APIs using Apigee, KrakenD, or AWS API Gateway.
• Implement scalable and secure API architectures using REST, gRPC, and GraphQL.
• Develop backend services using Java (Spring Boot) and frontend applications using JavaScript / TypeScript.
• Work with cloud environments such as AWS or GCP for deployment, scaling, and monitoring.
• Utilize CI / CD pipelines, GitHub, Docker, and Kubernetes to manage code and deployments.
• Write robust automated tests using tools such as Cucumber and Mockito.
• Contribute to cross-organization API standards and documentation.
• Collaborate with Agile / Scrum teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

About the Role

Role : Software Engineer

Location : Brazil (Remote)

Employment Type : Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain APIs using Apigee (preferred), KrakenD, or AWS API Gateway.
• Implement scalable and secure API architectures using REST, gRPC, and GraphQL.
• Develop backend services using Java (Spring Boot) and frontend applications using JavaScript / TypeScript with React or Angular.
• Work with cloud environments such as AWS or GCP for deployment, scaling, and monitoring.
• Utilize CI / CD pipelines (ADO Pipelines), GitHub, Docker, and Kubernetes to manage code, build processes, and deployments.
• Write robust unit, integration, and automated tests using tools such as Cucumber and Mockito.
• Contribute to cross‑organization API standards, documentation, and best practices.
• Collaborate with Agile / Scrum teams to deliver high‑quality software solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of overall professional experience.
• Java (Spring Boot) – API Development.
• API Management (Apigee / KrakenD / AWS Gateway) – 3 years.
• Cloud Platforms (AWS / GCP).
• JavaScript / TypeScript.
• React / Angular.
• Strong understanding of API protocols and architectural patterns (REST, gRPC, GraphQL).
• Proficiency with CI / CD, GitHub, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience writing automated tests (Cucumber, Mockito).
• Ability to write clear documentation and contribute to API governance efforts.
