We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to lead and manage our sales team composed of Inside Sales and Sales Executives in the region of São Paulo within the maritime transportation sector. The Sales Manager will focus on driving sales performance by mentoring, coaching, and developing the sales team, while overseeing key client relationships and identifying growth opportunities. This role requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of the shipping and logistics industry.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and inspire the sales team to meet and exceed performance targets.
  • Monitor and ensure that sales targets are realistic and achievable.
  • Exercise sound judgment and engage in high‑impact decision‑making regarding commercial sales considerations, while maintaining a commitment to integrity and accountability.
  • Provide regular coaching, feedback, and development opportunities to the team, fostering a high‑performance culture.
  • Set clear goals, KPIs, and expectations for each team member, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, analyze situations critically, and address underperformance with actionable improvement plans.
  • Promote collaboration within the team and across departments to ensure seamless communication and execution of sales strategies.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive growth in maritime transport.
    • Expand market share through mentorship and improved client relationships.
    • Collaborate with the team on client acquisition and service offerings.
    • Align team efforts with company objectives for effective execution.
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Oversee key client accounts to ensure satisfaction and retention.
    • Support the team in building strong relationships and resolving issues.
    • Communicate with trade and cross‑functional teams on market intelligence.
    • Offer tailored solutions that align with client needs.
  • Training & Onboarding
    • Develop training programs for new hires and ongoing team development.
    • Hire and retain top talent, evaluating performance and implementing corrective actions.
  • Sales Reporting & Metrics
    • Track and analyze team performance, providing regular reports on key metrics.
    • Use data‑driven insights to adjust strategies and optimize sales activities.
  • Market & Industry Expertise
    • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform business development.
    • Stay informed about global trade and shipping operations to support the team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Maritime Studies, or related field.
  • 5+ years of sales experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in maritime or logistics.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record in team management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and data analytics.
Preferred Skills
