A global technology company is seeking a Chief Architect to drive product development in a fully remote environment. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of software development experience, including 6 years in PHP, and a strong ability to define technical standards. This role involves mentoring teams, evaluating technologies, and managing product releases. Join a diverse team committed to growth and innovation while enjoying flexible work hours and a variety of culture-focused activities.
Are you a high-performing PHP technical guru with a passion for building best-in‑class industry‑focused products? Do you want to work for a best‑in‑class, 100% remote organization with the brightest talent from around the world?
At Sparkrock, we help social benefit organizations—like nonprofits, school boards, and government agencies—reach their greatest potential through technology. Every day, over 150,000 people use our ERP and product platforms to work more efficiently, freeing up time and resources to focus on the good they want to achieve.
We are looking for a passionate Chief Architect to drive our product forward and help deliver highly valuable, safe, and secure software to our customers. You will be a key member of our Platform Development team, responsible for technical and architectural specifications, creating and maintaining code review guidelines, and coding prototypes and complex requirements. You will work closely with the platform developers to mentor and provide feedback in accordance with Sparkrock product standards. You will also work with your peers across other Sparkrock departments as the product technical expert.
If you are a highly motivated individual who is passionate about building a top‑tier product, then this is the place for you.
We don’t call them perks; they’re just part of what makes working at Sparkrock great.
We strive to build a team that reflects the diversity of the community we serve, and we encourage applications from traditionally underrepresented groups, including women, visible minorities, Indigenous peoples, individuals identifying as LGBTQ2SI, veterans, and people with disabilities.
All open roles are for existing vacancies unless otherwise communicated to the candidate. We are committed to keeping candidates informed throughout the process and will notify all interviewed applicants of our hiring decision within 45 days of their interview. Sparkrock retains all job postings and related recruitment information for a minimum of three years.
