Job Summary

This is a full-time fully remote working opportunity where you will be working as part of a Scrum team which requires working closely with other software engineers, stakeholders and contributors on the project. Working with respect to the US timezone is a requirement for the position. Attending meetings, being actively involved in the decision making process and collaborating with all of these stakeholders are essential parts of this position.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to design, build, and ship high-quality mobile applications, with a strong focus on iOS-first development. This role is ideal for someone who has spent years building production iOS apps, thrives in early-stage or fast-moving environments, and enjoys owning features end to end—from architecture decisions to App Store delivery.

You will work closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver scalable, high-performance mobile experiences while maintaining clean, testable, and well-structured code.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain advanced iOS applications, with Android considered a plus.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, design solutions, and ship new features.
• Own performance, quality, and responsiveness across the mobile app.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, crashes, and complex bugs.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code, contributing to automation and CI / CD workflows.
• Integrate mobile applications with RESTful or GraphQL APIs and third-party libraries.
• Make informed architectural decisions suitable for scalable MVPs and growing products.
• Stay current with iOS best practices, platform updates, and modern mobile development trends.
• Actively participate in Agile / Scrum ceremonies, including planning, reviews, and technical discussions.

Minimum Qualifications

• 8–10 years of professional experience in mobile development, with a strong focus on iOS.
• Proven track record of shipping at least one high-quality iOS app to the App Store.
• Deep proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI (or UIKit, depending on project needs).
• Solid understanding of the full mobile application development lifecycle, from concept to release and iteration.
• Strong knowledge of mobile UI / UX patterns and Apple platform guidelines.
• Hands‑on experience integrating mobile apps with RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
• Proficiency with Git, Xcode, and modern dependency managers such as Swift Package Manager.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ownership mindset.
• Advanced written and spoken English for collaboration in a distributed, international team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with UIKit, Combine, Async / Await, CoreData, or Realm.
• Experience implementing or customizing video playback features using AVPlayer / AVKit (or equivalent).
• Familiarity with Android development (Kotlin / Java) is a plus.
• Experience setting up or working with CI / CD pipelines for mobile applications.
• Experience using mobile performance and profiling tools (Instruments, Crashlytics, etc.).
• Background working in early‑stage startups or building MVPs from scratch.
