Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate has over 5 years of experience in financial management, strong knowledge of accounting standards, and advanced Excel skills.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Overview:

Setup the Finance function in Brazil and managing a Finance team an outsource accounting vendor.

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities

Budgeting & Forecasting:

• Support the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts.

• Collaborate with business units to ensure alignment with financial goals.

Internal Controls & Compliance:

• Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

• Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Accounts Management:

• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger reconciliation processes.

• Work closely with outsourced accountants (if applicable) to ensure accurate financial records, and working towards setting up a finance team to replace outsourced accountants

Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance financial processes.

• Implement best practices for efficiency and accuracy in reporting.

Team Support

• Step into the Finance Manager's role during absences or as needed.

Preferred Experience

• 5+ years of experience in financial management or a similar role.

• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial regulations, and ERP systems (SAP preferred).

• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial modeling.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (English and Portuguese)

Education and Key certifications necessary
