As Lead Engineer - Controls, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering projects through the stages of conception, detailed design, verification, and manufacturing support.
  • Developing scientific and engineering efforts related to the design of new products and services.
  • Understanding customer needs and requirements and translating those into innovative designs.
  • Guiding and coaching junior team members as part of project execution and personal development.
  • Working with a global multidisciplinary team in a results-oriented fashion.
  • Ensuring design compliance with applicable standards and norms.
  • Ensuring project activities and design comply with Engineering Governance.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Have experience with Subsea Controls Engineering design.
  • Be proficient in communicating with customers in both Portuguese and English.
  • Display leadership and communications skills.
  • Work seamlessly with local and global Engineering teams.
  • Be a quick and avid learner.

Desirable

  • Previous experience on the execution of PETROBRAS projects.
  • Knowledge of Subsea Controls applications in XTs and Manifolds systems.
  • Product Lifecycle Management software user knowledge (SAP or Teamcenter).
  • Proficiency in the use of Engineering Design software (Autocad, Creo, Solid Works, Visio, MSP).
  • An advanced degree in Engineering (M.Sc. or Ph.D.).
