About The Role

We’re looking for a motivated, experienced, and smart Finance Associate to join the dynamic team in our Sao Paulo office. You will play a critical role in managing and optimizing financial processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to streamline financial workflows, support strategic decision‑making, and maintain the highest standards of financial integrity.

You will :
  • Compliance & Procedures: Develop, manage, and enforce GAAP‑compliant processes and ensure correct and timely tax filings.
  • Close Process Management: Oversee monthly and quarterly close processes.
  • Invoice Processing: Manage accounts receivable and payable.
  • Budgeting & Financial Analysis: Create and maintain budgeting tools, including variance reporting, cash‑flow analysis, and cost‑saving strategies.
  • Payroll Oversight: Collaborate with People Operations to review payroll for accuracy, labor budgeting, and banking for timely pay runs.
  • Audit & Internal Controls: Ensure a smooth audit process by creating and maintaining internal controls, immaculate record keeping, and overseeing the audit process.
  • Strategic Financial Planning: Anticipate and evaluate business needs to ensure that financial organization and systems appropriately support the company’s growth.
What you need to be successful
  • 3–5 years of experience as a staff accountant or similar role.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in accounting or finance preferred.
  • Big‑4 experience, CPA, or CPA candidate preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate finance, accounting theory, and three‑statement financial modeling.
  • Knowledge of research techniques to analyze data and make recommendations.
  • Ability to describe accounting systems and processes in written and verbal correspondence.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with international tax processes.
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office and accounting software including NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero, Expensify, and budgeting software such as Grow, Domo, and Spotlight.
  • Ability to navigate a dynamic startup environment, adapt to evolving priorities, and take ownership in building structure and establishing foundational accounting processes.
  • Intermediate level of Portuguese desired.
  • Availability to work onsite at our Sao Paulo office 4 days a week.
