Position Overview:
Our company is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. This role will be responsible for office EHS and motor vehicle safety in Brazil and other countries in Central America. The position reports to the Manager, Safety & Environment for Commercial Operations LATAM.

Responsibilities:
- Ensures completion of all regulatory requirements, submissions, and notifications necessary to maintain compliance with the local EHS laws for offices, motor vehicle safety, and commercial operations (Brazil & Central America).
- Regularly track and maintain accurate records to demonstrate compliance with EHS programs, our company standards, and legal requirements.
- Collaborate with and provide guidance to local leadership and facilities management to ensure consistent implementation of EHS programs.
- Monitor and report on KPIs, providing clear and concise EHS performance updates to operational leaders, and develop strategies for continuous improvement and sustainable compliance.
- Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders, internal peers, and suppliers by promoting diversity and inclusion, remaining unbiased, and fostering collaboration.
- Establish and ensure completion of corrective actions to address areas requiring improvement. Conduct thorough investigations of EHS events, identify root causes, and implement preventative measures.
- Partner with Fleet Management, service providers, Human Resources, and site leaders to ensure compliance with the Global Motor Vehicle Safety program.
- Provide expert advice and coordinate local technical support.
- Implement global initiatives and campaigns, and develop local actions to reinforce injury prevention based on trending analysis.
- Work with the Communication teams to develop and implement effective strategies that promote safety awareness through available channels.
- Ensure proper reporting and management of all EHS events, such as accidents, incidents, near misses, and environmental events, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Escalate concerns through management as appropriate.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Safety Technician according to NR4 Specialized Services in Occupational Health and Safety
- Advanced EHS experience.
- Experience managing multiple legal entities.
- Experience leading/supporting EHS in different countries.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English (advanced Spanish will be a plus)
- knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and related applications.
- Proven ability to present information clearly and concisely at all organization levels.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and adaptability to changing situations.
- Collaborative, open-minded, and curious, with the willingness to innovate process and work in a multicultural team.
