Your Next Challenge

Join our client’s team directly and lead the design and evolution of large‑scale, cloud‑based data platforms. As a Senior Data Engineer / Data Platform Lead, you’ll play a key role in defining data engineering standards, driving complex migration initiatives, and building highly scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions on AWS, with exposure to Azure. You’ll work at the intersection of architecture, engineering, and governance, influencing technical direction while mentoring teams and shaping best practices in a data‑driven, enterprise environment.

What You’ll Work On

• Leading large‑scale data migration and optimisation projects in cloud environments.
• Working with large datasets, including Iceberg tables and modern data lake architectures.
• Defining and enforcing data governance, security, and quality standards.
• Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure robust, secure, and efficient data platforms.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Over 10 years of experience working with AWS data services, with exposure to Azure data services.
• Strong experience in Infrastructure as Code, preferably using Terraform.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, including prototyping and defining coding standards.
• Experience working with large‑scale data platforms and managing high data volumes efficiently.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English (C1 level or higher).

Bonus Points

• Experience with Apache Kafka and streaming data architectures.
• Knowledge of Apache Flink and other real‑time data processing technologies.
• Experience with Dataiku.
