General Description:

We are searching for an Configuration Engineer, preferably with Financial experience. This position will be tasked with customizing solutions during implementation, while on a call with a vendor. The software is a highly customizable product on multiple platforms that are configured and engineered differently for each customer. A solid background of working within the Salesforce platform doing configurations. Must be exceptionally detail-oriented, an energetic self-starter who can work independently and in a group setting.

Must be able to effectively and clearly communicate in English both verbally and written to interact with team members and clients.

Responsibilities

• Partner with clients and internal teams to understand business requirements and direct the configuration duties
• Develop and perform quality assurance check points within your team to ensure quality and timely delivery
• Take ownership of your team’s business results by developing and leading training and execution plans
• Problem-solve routine to complex issues
• Create and implement tools that increase quality, security and productivity
• Communicate with clients while completing tasks, such as creating endpoints, deployments from one company to another, troubleshooting issues, and configuring web services on the back end

Your Background and Skill Set

• 5+ years of related work experience as a Configuration or Implementation Engineer
• MS SQL Server Management Studio: NOT a DBA role, just to understand DB design, configuration, querying, and installation
• Network troubleshooting skills required with packet analysis valued
• Nice to have: Experience deploying with NOMAD and Vault
• Strong JSON skills
• Configuration and deployment experience with Web Services, TLS, SAML 2.0
• Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment with Jenkins
• Attention to detail, exceptional follow-through, the ability to prioritize, stay organized, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and analytical skills for problem-solving
• Experience with Jira, Confluence and code repository software (GitHub, Bitbucket)
• Must be comfortable working in a collaborative environment
• Experience with globally distributed, cross-functional teams

Bonus Experience

• Experience working with a system written in Python on the backend
• Experience with container deployments and automation tools like Jenkins
• Familiarity with testing on iOS and Android mobile platforms
• Financial Services experience
