About the role
Amazon is looking for an enthusiastic operational leader with excellent communication skills and a strong proven background in delivering diverse payroll products at the highest standards. The role is a fantastic opportunity for a leader who wants to lead teams to innovate and raise the bar for Brazilian and LATAM payroll operations and products. This role will lead the Brazil and Portugal Payroll team located in Brazil and Costa Rica, with 20 Payroll Specialists and 2 Team Managers. This position will be responsible for all aspects of the team's operations including: Strategic planning, continuous improvement, hiring and employee development; establishing priorities; local compliance; managing annual performance targets and operating budget; creating and monitoring appropriate performance metrics. This position will also act as an the main point of contact with local stakeholders. Overall responsible for Audit compliance and Business controls. The role requires a candidate with ability to manage and improve the payroll operations (performance metrics, internal controls, compliance, automation…) as well as to manage regional projects. The candidate will interact with senior and executive stakeholders worldwide.
