JOB PURPOSE

The Transportation Analyst will be a vital role in supporting the success and operational excellence of the Alcon Brazil transportation network.

This will include all primary freights (including import & export process) as well as secondary freights in the country.

He / She will be leading a team of associates handling the day-to-day operations for transportation.

JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Support the activities in view of the pursuit of operational excellence primary and secondary transportation.
  • Analyze and support the control of freight expenses, ensuring that expenses are within budget.
  • Monitoring the contracts and carriers
  • Develop performance indicators for transport activities
  • Lead and support the transportation projects
  • Monitor the shipments / import process, from the invoice to delivering the shipment to the Alcon Distribution Center for use or sale, verifying the documentation involved in accordance with Alcon policies and local customs regulation
  • Interact with intercompany, third party and local suppliers to exchange information related to the import processes, according to what is negotiated for planning, procurement or the business.
  • Prepare export shipments according to the requesting areas, observing Alcon policies and local customs regulation.
  • Coordinate atypical International Trade processes, such as Temporary Admission, Temporary export.
  • Promote improvement in customer service levels and minimize costs.
  • Complete all required job specific cGMP and Safety training
POSITION REQUIREMENT
  • Bachelor / Master’s Degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or Industrial Engineering, or applicable years of experience combined with high school degree.
  • Minimum 5 years supply chain logistics experience
  • Experience in Transportation Management indicator (KPI´s)
  • Demonstrated successful interaction with cross-functional teams and working with all levels of the management
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
  • Business acumen and excellent customer mindset
  • Languages: English – Fluency written and spoken will be appreciated.
