Job Title: Accounting Analyst

Perform accounting routines in accordance with legal requirements that impact on our financial statements and government obligations, providing direct support to the Accounting Supervisor and the Finance team.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare accounting activities in general, ensuring that all records and reports are made in accordance with the accounting principles, standards, and legislation, and comply with the deadlines and procedures defined by the Company.
  • Support accounting closing routines, including manual entries, accruals, monthly appropriations, and reclassifications.
  • Analyze postings made by E-Comex, organize the data, and book necessary adjustments to measure the import process for closing purposes. Connect with Logistics and IT to address differences or system issues.
  • Support the Accounting Supervisor during the preparation of annual obligations to the Government, such as SPED (ECD and ECF), IBGE, and Brazilian Central Bank questionnaires.
  • Support the monthly Corporate Income Tax calculation.
  • Control end-to-end the Fixed Assets process, analyzing the entire process: from project creation in the SAP System to asset activation, creating asset numbers, write-offs, and transfers, supporting all inquiries from other areas.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation activities in the Blackline program.
  • Give assistance to the Accounting Supervisor for reports requested by the headquarters.
  • Provide support to external auditors.
Qualifications – Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in this role.
  • English skills (intermediate or advanced level).
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Critical analysis to evaluate accounting information.
  • Understanding of the import process, timing steps, and valuation.
  • Keep updated on accounting standards and regulations.
  • Global vision of accounting activities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and CPCs.
  • Knowledge in SAP.
  • Big 4 experience.
