Job summary

AgileEngine is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to operate and improve a Snowflake-based data platform in a regulated healthcare environment. You will own data workflows, optimize warehouse performance, and ensure data quality across ingestion, transformation, and delivery layers.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in data engineering, strong SQL and Python, and hands-on Snowflake, dbt, and AWS experience. Remote-friendly with LatAm support expectations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering or Data Platform Engineering.
• Strong SQL and dbt experience for transformation and testing.
• Hands-on with Snowflake including data-layer design and production troubleshooting.
• Experience with ingestion tools like Fivetran or HVR and data pipelines.
• AWS data services usage, esp. S3 and event/file ingestion patterns.
• Experience with Argo Workflows on Kubernetes or similar.
• Proficient in Python for data tooling and automation.
• Knowledge of data modeling, schema evolution, and data quality.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical ownership for the Data Platform during LatAm coverage window.
• Operate and optimize Snowflake production and non-production environments.
• Administer data access with least-privilege controls and audit readiness.
• Manage data ingestion across Fivetran, HVR, and custom pipelines.
• Design and maintain RAW, CURATED, and CONSUMPTION pipelines in dbt.
• Support AWS S3 data-lake operations and downstream Snowflake workloads.
• Coordinate with Cloud/DevOps for Argo Workflows and Kubernetes workloads.
• Define data quality and observability standards and implement runbooks.
• Lead major data incidents, post-incident reviews, and preventive actions.
