Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to operate and improve a Snowflake-based data platform within a regulated healthcare environment, supporting analytics for Fortune 500 clients across LatAm.

You will own critical data pipelines, enforce data quality, and drive reliability. You will collaborate with Cloud/DevOps, Analytics, Security, and business stakeholders, mentor engineers, and participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering or Data Platform Engineering.
• Snowflake: data-layer design, warehouse performance, and production troubleshooting.
• Advanced SQL with dbt for transformations, tests, lineage, and controlled deployment.
• Experience with Fivetran or HVR and custom data ingestion pipelines.
• Hands-on with AWS data services (S3) and event/file-based ingestion patterns.
• Experience orchestrating data workloads with Argo Workflows on Kubernetes.
• Python or similar language for data engineering, automation, and tooling.
• Strong data modeling, dependencies, schema evolution, and data quality.
• Observability, logging, alerting, and incident-management practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical ownership for the Data Platform service tower during LatAm coverage.
• Operate Snowflake production and non-production environments with config and monitoring.
• Administer data access with least-privilege controls and audit-ready practices.
• Manage ingestion across Fivetran, HVR, and custom pipelines including failures and backfills.
• Design and maintain pipelines and dbt models across RAW, CURATED, and CONSUMPTION with tests and lineage.
• Support AWS S3 data-lake operations, including lifecycle, access, and downstream workloads.
• Coordinate with Cloud/DevOps for Argo/Kubernetes workloads including scheduling and recovery.
• Define and improve data quality and observability standards.
• Lead or support major data incidents and post-incident reviews.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to cross-team handoffs.
• Participate in on-call rotations.
