Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own and improve a Snowflake-based data platform in a regulated healthcare environment. You will operate production and non-production environments, optimize ingestion pipelines, and drive data quality and observability initiatives.

You will collaborate with Cloud/DevOps, Analytics, Security, and stakeholders, mentor engineers, and participate in on-call rotations, with a strong emphasis on data governance and incident resolution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering or Data Platform Engineering.
• Hands-on Snowflake design, performance tuning, and production support.
• Advanced SQL and dbt for transformation, testing, and lineage.
• Experience with Fivetran or HVR and ingestion pipelines.
• Proficient in AWS data services, especially S3 and ingestion patterns.
• Experience with Argo Workflows on Kubernetes.
• Python or equivalent for data engineering and tooling.
• Strong data modeling, dependency management, and data quality.
• Observability, logging, and incident-management discipline.
• Ability to lead incidents, perform RCA, and drive preventive actions.
• English communication with stakeholders.
• Willing to work 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM PT and on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Own Data Platform operations during LatAm coverage window.
• Operate Snowflake production and non-production environments.
• Administer data access with least-privilege controls.
• Manage data ingestion pipelines (Fivetran/HVR and custom).
• Design and maintain RAW, CURATED, and CONSUMPTION dbt models.
• Support AWS S3 data-lake operations and governance.
• Coordinate with Cloud/DevOps for Argo/Kubernetes workloads.
• Define data quality and observability standards.
• Expand monitoring and lineage using tooling.
• Lead major data incidents and post-incident reviews.
• Support Tableau Cloud operations when needed.
• Deliver standardization, automation, and cost improvements.
• Follow incident/change/release processes.
• Create runbooks and knowledge transfer materials.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and ensure proper handoffs.
• Participate in on-call rotation outside staffed hours.
