AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to operate and improve a Snowflake-based data platform in a regulated healthcare environment. You will lead data ingestion, dbt modeling, and orchestration with Argo on Kubernetes, while ensuring data quality and observability.

Strong SQL, Python, and English communication are essential. Flexible remote/hybrid work with LATAM coverage. You will collaborate with Cloud/DevOps, Analytics, Security, and stakeholders, mentoring engineers and driving

Competenze

5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering or Data Platform Engineering.
Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, including data-layer design, performance, patterns, and troubleshooting.
Advanced SQL skills and extensive dbt experience for transformation, testing, and lineage.
Experience operating managed ingestion tools like Fivetran or HVR and supporting custom pipelines.
Hands-on with AWS data services, especially S3 and event/file-based ingestion patterns.
Experience with Argo Workflows on Kubernetes or similar orchestration tools.
Proficiency in Python or similar for data engineering, automation, and tooling.
Strong data modeling, dependencies, schema evolution, backfills, data quality.
Observability, logging, alerting, incident-management for production data platforms.
Ability to lead incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and preventive improvements.
Ability to make well-reasoned technical decisions, estimate work, and guide platform improvements.
Experience mentoring engineers and collaborating with Cloud/DevOps, Analytics, Security, Governance, and business stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal English and client-facing communication.

Mansioni

Provide senior technical ownership for the Data Platform service tower during LATAM coverage window.
Operate and improve Snowflake production and non-production environments, including sizing and monitoring.
Administer data access with least-privilege controls and audit-ready practices.
Oversee data ingestion across Fivetran, HVR, and custom pipelines, including scheduling and failure recovery.
Design, build, and maintain pipelines and dbt models across RAW, CURATED, and CONSUMPTION layers with testing and lineage.
Support AWS S3 data-lake operations, including lifecycle and access controls.
Coordinate with Cloud/DevOps for Argo Workflows and Kubernetes-hosted workloads.
Define and improve data quality and observability standards and checks.
Expand end-to-end monitoring and lineage with tools like dbt, Splunk, and SynQ.
Lead or support major data incidents with root-cause analysis and preventive actions.
Support Tableau Cloud operations where needed for connectivity or refresh failures.
Identify standardization, automation, reliability, performance, and cost improvements.
Execute work through incident, request, change, and release processes.
Create runbooks, procedures, architecture context, and knowledge-transfer materials.
Mentor mid-level engineers and improve team practices across the distributed service team.
Participate in Data Platform on-call rotation for critical incidents.
