Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team in a hybrid capacity. You will own reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities, building cloud infrastructure (AWS-first), CI/CD tooling, and data engineering workflows.

You will design and operate pipelines with AWS Glue, Athena, and S3, emphasizing automation, security, and developer experience.

Competenze

• 5+ years in DevOps/platform engineering or SRE with data engineering exposure.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services including S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS, Secrets Manager, and CDK/CFN.
• Strong CI/CD experience across GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
• Proficiency with IaC tools and container orchestration (Docker, ECS/EKS, Kubernetes).

Mansioni

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data infra and ETL jobs.
• Build and manage AWS-based cloud infrastructure using Terraform and/or CDK.
• Own observability stack: metrics, logs, alerts to ensure SLA and fast incident response.
• Develop DataOps self-service tooling and reusable templates for data pipelines.
• Lead incident response for data platform outages and drive post-mortems.
• Mentor engineers in DevOps and data engineering practices.
