Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team. This hybrid role will own the reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities, building cloud infrastructure (AWS-first) and CI/CD pipelines to empower data engineers to ship high-quality data products safely.

Formación

• 5+ years in DevOps, platform engineering, or SRE with at least 2 years data engineering.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services (S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda).
• Hands-on AWS data services: Glue, Athena, S3 lifecycle and security.
• Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or CDK.
• Strong CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration (ECS/EKS/Kubernetes).
• Proven observability design for data and platform services.

Responsabilidades

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and Athena views.
• Build and manage AWS-based infrastructure with Terraform/CDK.
• Own observability stack with metrics, logs, and alerts.
• Develop DataOps self-service tooling and templates.
• Manage container infrastructure (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda).
• Operate workflow orchestration (MWAA/Airflow, Step Functions).
• Develop Glue ETL jobs for large-scale data ingestion.
• Enforce security best practices across the data platform.
• Lead incident response and perform post-mortems.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct reviews.
