Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team in a hybrid capacity. You will own reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics, building cloud infrastructure (AWS-first), CI/CD, and DevOps tooling to accelerate data product delivery.

You’ll design data pipelines with AWS Glue, Athena, and S3, while emphasizing security, observability, and developer experience. Collaboration with data engineers and security teams is essential.

Formación

• 5+ years in DevOps or platform engineering with data engineering
• Strong knowledge of AWS core services (S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch)
• Experience with Glue, Athena, and S3 data lake
• IaC using Terraform or AWS CDK
• CI/CD design and maintenance across GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab
• Container orchestration with ECS/EKS or Kubernetes
• Observability: metrics, logs, tracing, alerts
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Responsabilidades

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs
• Build and manage AWS infrastructure using IaC (Terraform / CDK)
• Own observability stack for data pipelines (metrics/logs/alerts)
• Develop DataOps self-service tooling and templates
• Manage container infrastructure (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda)
• Operate workflow orchestration (MWAA / Airflow / Step Functions)
• Build and maintain Glue ETL jobs (PySpark) for large-scale ingestion
• Drive security practices: Secrets, least privilege, network segmentation
• Collaborate with data engineers/scientists on scalable infra
• Lead data platform incident response and post-mortems
• Mentor engineers in DevOps and data engineering practices
