Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team. This hybrid role will own reliability, automation, and delivery of data pipelines and analytics capabilities.

You will build and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS-first), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling to empower data teams. You will design data pipelines with AWS Glue, Athena, and S3, and contribute to observability and security.

Formación

• 5+ years in DevOps, platform/SRE with 2+ years data engineering.
• Deep AWS experience: S3, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda, ECS/EKS.
• Hands-on with Glue, Athena, and Data Catalog concepts.
• Proficient with Terraform and/or CDK for production clouds.
• Strong CI/CD design with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS Glue ETL jobs and related data infra.
• Build and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using IaC (Terraform/CDK).
• Own observability: metrics, logs, alerts for data pipelines and platforms.
• Develop DataOps tooling and reusable pipeline templates.
• Operate container infra (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda) for data services.
• Manage workflow orchestration (MWAA / Airflow / Step Functions).
• Build and maintain AWS Glue ETL jobs for data ingestion/transformation.
• Enforce security best practices: IAM, Secrets, network controls.
• Collaborate with data engineers/scientists and drive incident response.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in design reviews.
