Proofpoint is seeking a Senior DevOps and Data Engineer to join our Data Platform team in a hybrid role. You will own the reliability, automation, and delivery of the data pipelines powering analytics, with a focus on AWS-first infrastructure, CI/CD, and data engineering workflows.

You’ll design and operate AWS Glue, Athena, and S3 based pipelines, while automating toil and improving developer experience across data teams.

Formación

• 5+ years in DevOps/platform engineering with at least 2 years in data engineering.
• Deep expertise with AWS core services and data services (Glue, Athena, S3).
• Proficient in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform and/or CDK).
• Strong CI/CD experience and container orchestration.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for AWS data infra.
• Build and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using IaC (Terraform/CDK).
• Own observability with metrics, logs, and alerts for data pipelines.
• Develop self-service tooling and reusable data pipeline templates.
• Operate container and compute infra (Docker, ECS/EKS, Lambda).
• Manage workflow orchestration (MWAA/Airflow, Step Functions).
• Lead incident response and post-mortems for data platform outages.
• Mentor junior engineers in DevOps and data engineering.
