Job summary

Atomic Hr is seeking a Technical SEO Lead for remote work supporting a U.S.-based higher education marketing agency. You will own technical SEO across multiple university and nonprofit partner sites, write developer-ready specs, and build Claude-based tools to automate audits and reporting.

You’ll collaborate with the SEO Lead and Executive Director of SEO, shaping AI-enabled workflows and scalable systems for auditing, content production, and QA.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in SEO, with at least 3 focused on technical SEO.
• Track record of uncovering high-impact issues and driving fixes.
• Strong written communication to write developer-ready specs.
• Experience building Claude-based tools and AI-assisted workflows.
• Experience in higher education or enrollment marketing is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical SEO across client accounts and define audits.
• Run audits covering crawlability, indexation, site architecture, internal linking, Core Web Vitals, structured data, redirects, and broken links.
• Prioritize issues by impact and defend decisions.
• Write dev-ready specs for web developers and client teams and follow through to fixes.
• Handle light WordPress implementation: titles, meta descriptions, redirects, schema via Yoast/Rank Math.
• Monitor Google Search Console and GA4 to catch drops and indexing problems.
• Build Claude-based tools, agents, and workflows for audits, reporting, and QA.
• Create content production systems from briefs and optimization targets.
• Document systems, train the team, measure time saved and results.
• Support the team and client success; join client calls on deep technical topics.
• Evaluate emerging search technologies and suggest new tools and processes.
