Job summary

Convoy Finance is seeking an Accounting Manager to own client accounting work across a portfolio of growing companies. You will oversee full-cycle accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting while coordinating with international clients, founders, CFOs and senior finance professionals.

This hands-on role requires reviewing work, guiding junior staff, and delivering accurate client deliverables on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting, month-end close and financial reporting.
• Big Four experience is required for this role.
• Owns full-cycle accounting and financial reporting, with ability to review work and manage priorities.
• Communicates clearly with clients, founders, CFOs and senior finance professionals; English is the primary language.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of accounting and reporting work.
• Leading and overseeing full-cycle accounting and month-end close, including reconciliations, journal entries, AP/AR and financial statement preparation.
• Reviewing accounting work and ensuring quality, accuracy and consistency across client deliverables.
• Preparing and reviewing financial statements, management reports and financial analysis.
• Working directly with founders, CFOs and senior finance teams to answer questions, resolve issues and provide accounting guidance.
• Managing client deadlines, priorities and deliverables, and proactively communicating when something needs attention.
• Supporting year-end compilations, audits, reviews and tax-related work.
• Identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems and controls.
• Coaching and supporting more junior members of the accounting team.
• Taking ownership of more complex accounting issues and helping the team determine the right approach.
• Supporting advisory and finance projects as they come up.
• Building strong, long-term relationships with clients and becoming a trusted point of contact for their accounting needs
