Job summary

Convoy Finance is seeking an Accounting Manager to take ownership of client accounting work and act as a trusted partner to clients. You will oversee accounting across a portfolio of growing companies, interfacing with founders, CFOs and senior finance professionals, and ensuring timely, accurate deliverables.

You will drive month-end close, reviews, and financial reporting while identifying process improvements and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
Experience with client-facing accounting, public accounting, audit or advisory environments.
English communication with clients and teams.

Responsibilities

Oversee accounting work across client portfolios.
Lead full-cycle accounting and month-end close, including reconciliations and journal entries.
Review work for quality, accuracy and consistency across deliverables.
Prepare financial statements, management reports and financial analysis.
Work with founders, CFOs and senior finance professionals to provide accounting guidance.
Manage client deadlines and communicate needs proactively.
Support year-end compilations, audits, reviews and tax-related work.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and controls.
Coach junior accounting team members.
