Job summary

Convoy Finance is seeking an Accounting Manager to own client accounting for a portfolio of growing companies. You will work with international clients, founders and CFOs to ensure accurate, timely accounting and insightful financial reporting.

This role emphasizes ownership, proactive problem-solving and the ability to guide junior staff while delivering high-quality results remotely.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience in client-facing or advisory settings.
• Big Four experience is required.
• Proficiency in full-cycle accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Strong English communication; ability to explain numbers clearly.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring accurate and timely accounting and reporting.
• Leading full-cycle accounting and month-end close, including reconciliations, journal entries, AP/AR.
• Reviewing accounting work for quality and consistency across client deliverables.
• Preparing financial statements, management reports and analysis.
• Partner with founders, CFOs and senior finance teams to answer questions and provide guidance.
• Manage deadlines, priorities and deliverables; communicate proactively when attention is needed.
• Support year-end compilations, audits, reviews and tax-related work.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems and controls.
• Coach and mentor junior accounting staff; take ownership of complex issues.
• Support advisory and finance projects as they arise.
• Build long-term relationships with clients as trusted accounting partner.
