Job summary

Convoy Finance is seeking an Accounting Manager to take ownership of client accounting across a growing portfolio. This hands-on role partners with international clients, founders and senior finance professionals to ensure accurate accounting and timely deliverables.

You’ll lead month‑end close, reviews, and advisory work while coaching junior staff and identifying process improvements. Remote work with global clients offers fast pace and meaningful impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
• Big Four experience required; exposure to high standards and complex accounting.
• Experience reviewing or mentoring other accountants.
• English communication; role is 100% in English with clients.
• Partial overlap with Eastern Time business hours (9am–6pm ET is a plus).
• CPA designation or active CPA pursuit is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of client accounts and ensure timely delivery of accounting and reporting work.
• Lead full-cycle accounting and month-end close, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Review work for quality, accuracy and consistency across client deliverables.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports and analyses.
• Collaborate with founders, CFOs and senior finance teams to answer questions.
• Manage client deadlines, priorities and deliverables; communicate needs proactively.
• Support year-end compilations, audits, reviews and tax-related work.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems and controls.
