Job summary

Convoy Finance is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee client accounting for a portfolio of growing companies. This 100% English role is remote with clients worldwide and involves leading month-end close, financial reporting and advisory work.

You will work directly with founders, CFOs and senior finance professionals, guiding teams and ensuring accurate deliverables while scanning for process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, including full-cycle accounting, month-end close and financial reporting.
• Big Four experience is required, with exposure to high standards and complex client environments.
• Owns full-cycle accounting and month-end close while reviewing work and meeting deadlines.
• Experience working with clients, founders, CFOs and senior finance professionals; English communication required.
• CPA designation or active pursuit is a plus.
• Partial overlap with Eastern Time hours (9am–6pm ET is a plus).
• Experience with SaaS/fintech/Web3 environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of accounting and reporting work.
• Leading full-cycle accounting and month-end close, including reconciliations, journal entries, AP/AR and financial statement preparation.
• Reviewing work for quality and consistency across client deliverables.
• Preparing and reviewing financial statements, management reports and financial analysis.
• Working with founders, CFOs and senior finance teams to answer questions and provide accounting guidance.
• Managing client deadlines and priorities, proactively communicating when attention is needed.
• Supporting year-end compilations, audits, reviews and tax-related work.
• Identifying opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems and controls.
• Coaching and supporting more junior members of the accounting team.
• Taking ownership of complex accounting issues and guiding the team to the right approach.
• Supporting advisory and finance projects as they arise.
• Building strong, long-term relationships with clients as a trusted accounting partner.
