Job summary

Convoy Finance is seeking an Accounting Manager who can take ownership, think beyond the books and act as a trusted partner to our clients.

You’ll oversee accounting for a portfolio of growing companies, work directly with international clients, founders, CFOs and senior finance professionals, and ensure accurate close, reporting and advisory support while guiding junior staff remotely.

Qualifications

• Big Four experience required; high standards of quality and complex accounting work.
• Owns full-cycle accounting, month-end close and financial reporting, with client deliverables.
• Experience communicating with clients, founders, CFOs and senior finance professionals.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of client accounts with timely accounting and reporting.
• Lead and oversee full-cycle accounting and month-end close including reconciliations, journals, AP/AR, financial statements.
• Review accounting work for quality, accuracy and consistency across client deliverables.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports and financial analysis.
• Collaborate with founders, CFOs and senior finance teams to answer questions and provide guidance.
• Manage client deadlines and priorities, proactively flagting issues.
• Support year-end compilations, audits, reviews and tax-related work.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems and controls.
• Coach and mentor junior accounting staff and handle complex issues.
