About AIQ:

AIQ is an Abu Dhabi based joint venture between Presight and ADNOC, focusing on developing artificial intelligence technologies for the energy sector. AIQ develops and commercializes AI products and applications tailored for the oil and gas industry.

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead digital technology projects within the oil and gas sector. The role involves managing projects that utilize digital solutions to optimize operations, improve efficiency, and foster innovation. The ideal candidate will bridge technology and business objectives, ensuring successful project delivery in a fast-evolving environment.

• Develop and manage project implementation plans with clear milestones.
• Oversee end-to-end project execution using Agile methodologies.
• Manage all phases of project implementation, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and quality standards.
• Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including final reports.
• Report progress and concerns to the Project Owner.
• Coordinate tender processes and technical evaluations with stakeholders.
• Conduct cost/benefit analyses for subcontracting versus internal development.
• Monitor project execution during product development, particularly cloud-based solutions with data scientists and engineers.
• Organize team meetings, Agile ceremonies, and steering committees.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, maintaining risk registers and action trackers.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and manage expectations.
• Evaluate team productivity and coordinate multi-team releases.
• Plan resource requirements, manage project budgets, and develop operational plans.
• Communicate project status, risks, and updates to stakeholders and senior management.
• Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and areas for improvement.
• Develop and improve policies, processes, and procedures aligned with best practices and ISO standards.
• Manage audits and ensure timely closure of audit recommendations.
• Collaborate with ADNOC stakeholders and technology providers to define project scope.
• Assist in prioritizing requirements and finalizing Statements of Work (SOW).

Educational Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Petroleum Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager in technology projects within the Oil & Gas or Energy sector.
• PMP certification is preferred.

Minimum Experience & Skills:

• At least 12 years of project management experience, preferably in Oil & Gas industries (experience with ADNOC is a plus).
• Successfully led at least 3 large-scale projects in Oil & Gas or energy sectors.
• Experience with AI and Big Data projects.
• Knowledge of industry safety and regulatory standards.
• Expertise in Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban.
• Proficiency with Jira or similar tools.
• Basic understanding of cloud computing and web-based applications.
• On-site experience in reservoir, production, or drilling operations is preferred.
• Experience with Data Management and AI solutions is advantageous.
